With free programming, Monte Verde will host “Christmas in the Mountains” from November 29th

green Hill in Minas Gerais is about to receive another edition of Christmas in the Mountains organized by MOVE (Monte Verde and Region Development Agency) in partnership with Camanducaia City Hall.

With the theme “Telling Stories”, it will take place from November 29th to January 20th and will host an extensive program, with free cultural attractions, light shows and themed decorations. The expectation is that the Christmas festivities will be attended by more than 200 thousand people during this period.

The opening date also coincides with the 73rd anniversary of the district of Camanducaia. As a tribute, the city’s mayor, Rodrigo Oliveira, will symbolically hand over the city’s key to Santa Claus, kicking off the festive season.

This year, the playful decoration will be distributed across several points in Monte Verde, in addition to Camanducaia and São Mateus. Among the attractions already confirmed are Casa and Vila do Noel, which, in the last edition, were two of the main points visited by tourists, right at the entrance.

Christmas at Parque Oschin starts on November 1st

Also in Monte Verde, Parque Oschin will be a separate attraction until January 28th. It will host the Exuberant Christmas, which will have daily attractions – except on Tuesdays, when the place is closed. Toy factory, Santa Claus mail, sleigh ride and light show are part of the program.

With 45 thousand square meters and lots of nature, Oschin Park has springs, araucaria trees and centuries-old tree xaxins, and is home to different species of birds and other animals, with emphasis on llamas. Ticket prices can be found on the park’s website. As access is limited, it is recommended to purchase tickets in advance.
