With intense cold, entities carry out clothing campaign; know how and where to donate

Low temperatures in the South and Southeast should continue until next week, according to the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet).

Some capitals recorded, this Thursday (19), thermometers below 10ºC, such as Belo Horizonte: 4.4ºC, Brasília: 4.9ºC, Goiânia: 5.6ºC, Curitiba: 6.6ºC, Campo Grande: 7.1ºC, and São Paulo: 7.1ºC. The Federal District had the coldest morning in history, with a temperature of around 1.4ºC.

Despite the polar air mass starting to lose intensity, the next few days should still be freezing in Greater São Paulo.

On Friday (20), some regions should experience another freezing dawn, with fog formation and thermometers oscillating around 9°C.

During the day the sun appears between clouds, but the feeling of cold persists with highs that should not exceed 17°C. At the end of the day the cloudiness increases a little with the arrival of the sea breeze, however there is no rain conditions. On Saturday (21) the sun predominates again and helps to reduce the feeling of cold a little during the day.

In Rio de Janeiro, Friday morning should start cold, with lots of clouds and with the possibility of isolated rain. The temperature should not exceed 25°C, according to Inmet. On Saturday, the minimum in the capital will be around 13ºC.
