A woman, identified as Paloma Lopes Alves, aged 31, died after undergoing a hydrolipo procedure at the Maná Day clinic, with doctor Josias Caetano, in the Tatuapé neighborhood, in the east of São Paulo, this Tuesday (26).
According to the Police Report obtained by CNN the young woman underwent the aesthetic procedure on her back and abdomen, but during the treatment, she went into irreversible cardiorespiratory arrest.
She was expected to be discharged later this afternoon.
As soon as she went into cardiorespiratory arrest, EMS was called and she was taken to Tatuapé Municipal Hospital, where the victim arrived dead. In the hospital unit, pulmonary embolism was identified as the probable cause of death.
The procedure had been contracted through social networks and payment made by bank transfers.
On social media, Paloma’s husband posted about what happened and said he would inform the location of the wake.
