Workers can now simulate available FGTS balance to invest in Eletrobras

Caixa Econômica Federal reported, this Saturday (28), that every worker resident and domiciled in Brazil, who has an account linked to the FGTS, active or inactive, can now simulate the balance available for investment in Mutual Privatization Funds (FMPs) of Eletrobras. .

According to the bank’s statement, balance reservations can be made between June 03 and 08 with the administrative institution chosen and authorized by the worker.

The minimum amount for the application is R$ 200.00 per worker, and it is possible to use up to 50% of the available balance in the FGTS account.

The conditions for privatization of the company and forecast of investment of funds from the FGTS account in FMP were approved by Resolution No. 203/2021 of the Board of the Investment Partnership Program.

The procedures and rules of use for workers and administrators who are interested in operating with FMP-FGTS are contained in the Operational Manual for the Application of FGTS in Mutual Privatization Funds, available through the linkin the FGTS Manuals and Operational Booklets folder.

Eletrobras capitalization

On the 18th, the Federal Audit Court (TCU ) approved by majority the continuation of the capitalization process of electrobras , in which the Union will no longer control most of the state-owned company’s share capital. There were 7 votes in favor and one against, by Minister Vital do Rêgo.

The TCU trial involved the second part of the analysis of the capitalization , referring to the modeling of the procedure. In February of this year, the agency had already approved estimates of the amount moved by the process, in the region of R$ 67 billion.
