“For years we have divided everyone into categories. Today a new adventure begins ». These are the words with which Ludovico Tersigni kicks off the new edition of X Factor, the second in times of Covid, ready to debut on Thursday 16 September at 9.15 pm on Sky Uno and, exceptionally, in simulcast on TV8. The most important revolution of this new era, together with the passing of the baton between Alessandro Cattelan and Tersigni, lies precisely in the elimination of the categories that, since X Factor goes on the air, has always forced the judges to focus on a specific group of talents without being able to independently choose the artists beyond being Under Woman, Under Men, Over or Groups.
A music without borders, without distinctions and without adjectives will therefore be what we will see on the stage of the Auditions which, as last year, will no longer be without an audience, no longer due to a choice forced by the anti-Covid directives, but due to the desire to preserve the intimacy of the meeting between the aspiring competitors and the judges who, even in this round, will be Emma, Mika, Hell Raton e Manuel Agnelli.
“We wanted to bring music back to the center without distraction,” said Nils Hartman, Senior Director Original Production Sky Italia, during the press conference to present the new edition.
