Xiaomi certified a cheap Redmi tablet: why is it interesting

Until now, Xiaomi had only one series of tablets – Mi Pad under its own brand, but now the company is preparing a new product under the Redmi sub-brand. Thanks to numerous leaks and FCC (Federal Communications Commission) certification, some characteristics are already known for certain.

A document published in the FCC indicates that the Redmi tablet received a 7800 mAh battery and runs on MIUI 13. Other characteristics are disclosed by insiders: the future novelty is equipped with a 10.61-inch IPS display with a resolution of 2000 × 1200 pixels.

The Redmi sub-brand specializes in the release of budget devices, so the upcoming Redmi Pad will probably cost less than the already relatively inexpensive Xiaomi Pad 5 tablets. This is already evident from the known characteristics: for example, the display refresh rate will be standard at 60 Hz. True, the savings will not affect everything – charging is not limited, it will be fast 67-watt.
