Xiaomi has opened the MIUI 12.5 branded shell testing program for brave and courageous users outside of China.
The international presentation of MIUI 12.5 will take place on February 8, and now Xiaomi is inviting volunteers to register for the test.
So far, only Chinese users accept MIUI 12.5 in testing. The company plans to release the first stable builds of MIUI 12.5 in April 2021.
The program is called MIUI Global Stable ROM, but don’t let that confuse you. One can get confused in Xiaomi terminology, and test builds preceding the stable release may be released with the status of “stable beta” (beta-stable). Such firmware is intended for a limited circle of testers and is not aimed at mass distribution for ordinary users.
Applications for participation will be accepted until March 1, 2021. The program allows users of the following smartphone models:
- Xiaomi Mi 10T/10T Pro
- Xiaomi Mi 9T
- Redmi K20
- Xiaomi Mi Note 10
- Xiaomi Mi 9 SE
- Redmi Note 9T
- Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite
- Xiaomi Mi 10i
- Redmi Note 9 Pro
- Redmi Note 9 Pro Max
- Little M2 Pro
- Little X3
- Redmi Note 9
- Redmi 9
- Redmi 9 Prime
- Little M2
- Redmi 9C
- Little C3
- Redmi 9C NFC
- Redmi 9A
- Redmi Note 8
- Redmi Note 8T
- Redmi 9T
- Poco M3
It is logical to assume that these are the Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco models that will be the first to receive the update to MIUI 12.5 in the future on the international market.
