Xilinx, a pioneer in adaptive computing, today announced the acquisition of Silexica, a privately held software company that provides software development tools for FPGA and programmable SoCs.
Xilinx said the Silexica SLX FPGA toolset will be integrated with the Xilinx Vitis unified software platform, dramatically reducing the learning curve for software developers building complex applications based on Xilinx technology.

“Silexica technology complements our existing Vitis solution and roadmap and accelerates our ability to attract a broader range of developers looking to leverage our heterogeneous computing architectures,” Xilinx said in a statement.
Financial details and terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Silexica was founded in Germany in 2014. Its customers include companies in the automotive, robotics, aerospace and finance industries.
