The Yandex team announced the launch of a useful update for the Yandex.Telemost videoconferencing service as part of the Yandex 360 suite of services.
In fact, Yandex.Telemost is an alternative to the super popular Zoom service, as well as Google Meet and the like. Now with the help of “Teleconference” you can schedule working meetings, and to connect to them, you just need to enter the number. In addition, it became possible to add your own background images.
Users can select the day and hour of the video meeting, add a title, description, and invite participants. Information about the video meeting will appear in the Participants’ Calendar, and a reminder will be sent in an hour with a link to the meeting. Reminders for five or ten minutes are also possible. You can connect to the conversation not only via the link, but also by specifying the meeting number.
New functions have already appeared in Teleconference for computers and smartphones; they will soon become available in the Mail and Disk mobile applications.
In April 2021, the set of Yandex services for work was renamed to Yandex 360. It includes Yandex.Mail, Yandex.Disk, Yandex.Temost, Yandex.Calendar, Yandex.Notes, Yandex.Messenger and Yandex.Docs. All of these services are free to use.
