At least seven people, including four soldiers, were killed Wednesday in a car bomb blast targeting a security official in the northern Yemeni city of Aden.
A government security official, speaking on condition of anonymity, told AFP that the car, which was trapped with a large amount of explosives, had “targeted the motorcade of Saleh al-Sajed, the head of security in Lahz province” and that the attack had taken place. in Hor Maxar, district of Aden.
At least four police officers and three civilians were killed.
“Security forces neutralized another car trapped near the site of the attack,” the official added.
According to the same source, Saleh al-Sajed escaped the attack “orchestrated by terrorists who target security officials, soldiers and journalists in Aden”.
