The Ukrainian president left a “window” for the possibility of a compromise with Russia in Crimea and Donbas. Volodymyr Zelenskywithout naming the areas, in an interview with ABC on Monday night (7/3) while war in Ukraine to be continued.
According to Open, Zelensky said, among other things, that he is willing to make any kind of security guarantees, to discuss the temporarily occupied territories of the country implying Crimea but also unrecognized democracies, referring to Donbas. “We are ready for dialogue, but not to surrender,” he said. He said he could discuss and find a compromise.
He also said that NATO membership was frozen because the alliance was afraid of a war with Russia.
