ZTE introduced a monstrous camera phone Axon 40 Ultra with an invisible camera

ZTE has announced its new flagship Axon 40 Ultra, which focuses primarily on photo capabilities. Separately, the redesigned technology of masking the front camera under the screen stands out – this no longer looks like an experiment, because now the manufacturer has equipped the premium Ultra model for the first time with an invisible selfie sensor (previously only basic smartphones received it).

Hidden under the display is a 16MP front camera with 1.12µm pixels (2.24µm after binning). The screen area above it uses a new pixel arrangement to make the under-screen camera less visible.

The ZTE Axon 40 Ultra has three rear cameras, all 64MP. The main one received optical stabilization and a lens with f / 1.6 aperture and 7 lenses, the focal length is 35 mm. The ultra-wide module is equipped with a 16mm (f/2.35) autofocus lens, which allows you to take macro shots at a distance of 4cm. Both of these cameras use an IMX797 sensor. The third received optical stabilization and a periscope lens with a focal length of 91 mm and f / 3.5 aperture. A bunch of rear cameras is complemented by a ToF sensor.

The smartphone stands out in that it can record 8K video with any of the three rear cameras. In addition, all three sensors are active at the same time, so you can quickly switch between them right in the process of shooting.
