22-year-old woman dies after car falls into swimming pool at home on the coast of SP

A 22-year-old woman drowned this Friday (8) after the car she was in fell with the wheels up into a swimming pool, in a rented house in Guarujá, on the coast of São Paulo.

Two men who were in the vehicle managed to save themselves.

The case took place on Avenida do Bosque, close to Praia de Pernambuco. The victim was removed from the car by people in the house and, at around 1 pm, the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) and the Fire Department were called.

Paramedics tried to revive her, but she died from cardiorespiratory arrest. The two boys who managed to get out did not require assistance.

The image obtained by CNN shows the vehicle almost completely submerged, with only the rear wheels out of the water.

The Public Security Secretariat of the State of São Paulo said that it still does not know the circumstances of the accident and that it is investigating the case, which was registered at the Guarujá Headquarters Police Station.
