Israeli security forces shot and killed a Palestinian man today who tried to stab police officers during a raid in the occupied West Bank, Israeli police said.
Israeli forces were searching for weapons at a house in the town of Kafr Aqab when the suspect, Muhammad Al-Saham, attacked officers with a knife, the police statement said, adding that officers responded by shooting Al-Saham, the who succumbed to his injuries.
The suspect’s father, Ibrahim, stated that his son was unarmed and called his murder an execution. He said Israeli police entered the house and “immediately started shooting and shot my son in the head.”
