The duty department of the internal affairs bodies of the city of Maikop received a statement about fraud in the amount of 1 million rubles – a Russian lost money in an attempt to make money on cryptocurrencies.
According to the victim, he decided to invest in cryptocurrencies earlier this year. A 41-year-old resident of Maykop contacted unknown “investment consultants” who promised him easy money, after which he registered on a certain “trading platform”.

“All funds received were sent to pre-specified accounts. After that, the victim was repeatedly convinced of the imminent profit, asked to wait a bit. However, in the first days of February 2023, the connection suddenly broke off and the man did not wait for the promised earnings, ”the Ministry of Internal Affairs said in a statement.
