After selling out seven shows and selling more than 65,000 tickets in a few hours, Milton Nascimento will open new dates in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro for the tour “The Last Music Session”, which will mark his farewell to the stage.
The information was advanced to the CNN by the singer’s advice. The official announcement should be made at noon this Thursday (19).
In São Paulo, the presentations will take place on September 24 and 25, at Espaço Unimed (formerly Espaço das Américas), and, in Rio, an extra date on August 5, at Jeunesse Arena. Ticket sales start this Friday (20).
The tour “The Last Music Session” officially started selling tickets on Wednesday (19). In a few hours, the two dates announced in Rio de Janeiro, the two in São Paulo and the presentation at the Mineirão stadium, in Belo Horizonte, sold out.
Shortly after, still on Wednesday, the production of Bituca announced two more dates in São Paulo, which sold out as fast as the first.
With 60 years of career and eighty years of life, the farewell of the Brazilian Popular Music (MPB) entity will pass through Europe, with shows in Italy, England, Portugal and Switzerland, before arriving in Brazil.
“I could never end this part of my life of so many years on the road without honoring those who have been with me all this time: the fans. And this tour was designed especially for you!”, explains Milton, in the tour’s press release.
The setlist of performances must involve all stages of the singer’s career. “Ponta de Areia”, “Meetings and Farewells”, “Travessia”, “Cio da Terra” and “Nos Bailes da Vida”, are guaranteed.
“The rest is a surprise,” Milton said.
In the shows, he will be accompanied by Wilson Lopes (guitar and guitar), Lincoln Cheib (drums), Ademir Fox (piano), Widor Santiago (metals), Zé Ibarra (vocals and guitar), Ronaldo Silva (percussion), Alexandre Primo Ito (bows) and Frederico Heliodoro (vocals and bass).
The Last Music Session is the tour that will mark my farewell to the stage. Of music, never. And I wait for you to complete this crossing with me.
