The governments of Alagoas and Pernambuco issued, this Saturday (2), alerts for monitoring rainfall in the states.
During the weekend there is the possibility of storms on the coast, in the Metropolitan Region, in the Agreste, in Baixo São Francisco and in the Zona da Mata of Alagoas.
There is still a risk of flooding and rising river levels, as well as landslides on slopes. The other locations in the state should have isolated rains.
In Pernambuco, the State Civil Defense Executive Secretariat reported that since last Friday (1st) it has been monitoring all municipalities in the Agreste and Zona da Mata Sul regions affected by storms, in addition to the situation of rivers and reservoirs. .
Eighteen cities were affected: Água Preta, Angelim, Barreiros, Canhotinho, Cortes, Correntes, Itaíba, Jaqueira, Lagoa do Ouro, Quipapá, São Benedito do Sul, Tamandaré, Maraial, Palmerina, Brejão, Bom Conselho, Garanhuns, Palmares.
The forecast is that there will be a decrease in the volume of water in the regions of Mata Sul and Agreste, and light or moderate rain in other locations.
