Although Sarah, 18 year old from Vigevano and militant in the team of Lorella Cuccarini and Emanuel Lo, has charisma to spare, during the final of Friends we saw her struggle a bit in some performances, proving that she still has it unripe and still having to find a perfect register and tone for her. It remains, however, that her victory is indicative of one thing, namely the defeat of the much infamous autotune protagonist of this edition.

Aside from the fact that, in all honesty, autotune doesn't seem like the worst of all evils to us as purists who are certain that voices should not resort to certain tricks seem to believe, it goes without saying that the victory of the only singer who has never used them is indicative of a very special rediscovery which, in light of the recent controversies over the use of the instrument, perhaps tells us something more about how times are going.
