Anna and The Brilliant Friend triumph at “FeST – The Festival of TV Series”

Three days full of screenings, meetings and events at the Milan Triennale. And then the grand finale. During the final evening of FeST – The Festival of TV Series – the first Italian festival entirely dedicated to television series at the time of streaming services directed by Marina Pierri – i Serial Awards, the awards dedicated to Italian TV series. The awards ceremony, conducted by Edoardo Ferrario, was held at Milan Triennale, location of FeST. I 14 Serial Awards were awarded thanks to the marks given by one jury formed by experts and exponents of the sector and chaired by the artistic director of FeST Marina Pierri.

To these, they were added 3 special prizes (Crafting Worlds, Crossing Borders and Rising Star) awarded directly by the management of FeST, and the Premio della Gggente – powered by NeN, voted online by the public.

Many also the awards for Anna (Sky Original series written and directed by Niccolò Ammaniti. Produced by Mario Gianani and Lorenzo Mieli with Lorenzo Gangarossa for Wildside, a company of the Fremantle group, in co-production with ARTE France, The New Life Company and Kwaï). Among these, the Special Prize Crafting worlds – which takes its name from the theme of this third edition of FeST – won by Niccolò Ammaniti for having built a narrative universe that represents – directly or indirectly, through fantasy or by shaping reality – the world in which we live every day. To Giulia Dragotto went the Rising Star Special Award for her interpretation of the character of Anna; to Francesca Manieri and Niccolò Ammaniti the Writers’ room Award for the best screenplay. And again the Look & Feel Award for scenography, costumes, make-up and wigs.

Several awards went to The brilliant friend, (HBO-RAI FICTION production. Produced by Lorenzo Mieli and Mario Gianani for Wildside, a company of the Fremantle group and by Domenico Procacci for Fandango in collaboration with Rai Fiction, in collaboration with HBO Entertainment and in co-production with Umedia). Among them, the Scripted Series of the Year Award; the Best Actor Award a Gaia Girace e Margherita Mazzucco; the Direction award ad Alba Rohrwacher and the Crossing borders special award a Saverio Costanzo for its ability to cross the boundaries between the media bringing a story born on paper into video, making it a work capable of crossing cultural and linguistic borders. TO Commissioner Ricciardi (produced by Clemart for Rai) went on Premio della Gggente – powered by NeN, play partner in FeST, which offered the public the opportunity to cast their vote online for this category, which was not open to voting by the jury.
To Giacomo Ferrara went on Badness Award “He also did good things” for the character of Spadino in Suburra (produced by Cattleya for Netflix). TO The knights of Castelcorvo (produced by Stand by me for Disney +) on Kids Series of the Year Award – powered by Esselunga CheJoy. To the protagonists of We are who we are (Sky Original series, Sky-HBO co-production; Luca Guadagnino is the showrunner, executive producer, screenwriter and director; the series is produced by Lorenzo Mieli for The Apartment and Mario Gianani for Wildside) went on Premio “Best Kiss” for the best kiss. At the Salvo Montalbano’s house in Commissioner Montalbano (produced by Palomar for Rai) on “Real Estate” award for the most beautiful house – powered by Casavo to the most beautiful house in TV series.

Many guests attended the ceremony, including: Greta Scarano, winner of the Best Supporting Performer Award per I was hoping de died first; Gianluca Neri e Carlo Gabardini, who have withdrawn the Best Series Award unscripted per SanPa: lights and darkness of San Patrignano; Giorgio Then, winner of the Premio soundtrack for the soundtrack of Summertime; Pietro Turano who received the award “How You Doin ‘?” to the best catchphrase / quote per Shame; the protagonists of Anna Giulia Dragotto, Roberta Mattei e Clara Tramontano together with the screenwriter Francesca Manieri who have withdrawn the Premio Crafting Worlds won by Niccolò Ammaniti; the Senior Director Original Productions of Sky Italia Nils Hartmann; the Deputy Director of Rai Fiction Francesco Nardella; the Director Original Production of The Walt Disney Company Italia Alessandro Saba; the Founder and CEO of Stand by me Simona Ercolani; the COO of The Apartment Dario Morelli. Also present as rewards: Emanuela Fanelli, Ghemon, Cristina Cappelli, Maura gancitano, Rossella Migliaccio, Haroun Fall, David Blank, Tea Hacic, Marina Cuollo, Pierluca Mariti (Pretty), Matteo B.
