Arianna Becheroni, star of Bang Bang Baby: “I’m in a hurry to grow up”

Although his name literally exploded after the release of Bang Bang Baby, Arianna Becheroni explains that her life after the arrival of the series on Prime Video hasn’t changed that much. “I thought the change would be more traumatic, but it didn’t. In the end it’s always me “says Arianna on the phone from Laigueglia, in Liguria, where she has a house with her family from which she takes a break from the frenetic pace of Milan, the same city in which Alice, his character moves in the series slowly embracing his dark and criminal soul. The passion for acting kidnaps her at just seven years old, when her mother enrolls her in an acting course and Becheroni – currently enrolled in the fourth year of Human Sciences as a privatist – realizes that she is brought to do the job that would have allowed her to wear. many masks, becoming a different Ariadne from time to time.

He expected that Bang Bang Baby got all this success?
«I am happy that it went well and that people appreciated our work. In recent weeks I have received many messages, and I am really happy to have hit the target ».

The nice thing about Alice is that, as the episodes go by, she increasingly embraces a dark and terrible dimension: how did she work to be the spokesperson for this discovery?
“Compared to the other characters, all already mafia, I think it helped me that Alice was a normal girl who became a mafia slowly. Over the course of the series she goes from Good to Evil, she becomes a woman in all respects, including sexual, and it was nice to accompany her in this discovery ».

In your opinion, does Evil exist or, as Stephen King argues, is it inherent in each of us?
“I think society tells us what’s right and what’s wrong. A ‘Ndrangheta, for example, lives in a way that he considers normal: it is all a matter of choices dictated by particular motivations which, in the long run, cause evil ».

Alice, in fact, goes to the dark side quickly: what is the most illegal thing that Arianna Becheroni has done in her life?
“Entering a disco as a minor, crashing into abandoned places, but also driving even though I couldn’t”.

This last point will change soon, given that on June 27 he will turn 18: how do you live them?
“I am happy that they arrive, they are a beautiful stage in life, even if on the one hand I would like to remain a minor.”

How come?
“Perhaps because, as you become an adult, you are more alone. I am thinking, for example, of the fact that from now on I will be able to go to the set without my parents, who are my best friends ».

Is it true that she considers herself much more outspoken than Alice?
“Very true. Alice is very shy and introverted, while when I think something I say it, she does not embarrass me the contact with another person ».

Instead, what was it like meeting Marisa Merico, the woman who inspired Alice in the series?
“When she told me how she was as a girl I was surprised how much it coincided with what we achieved.”

Do you think it would have been counterproductive to meet her before shooting?
«If I had played Marisa I probably would have wanted it, but Alice is not Marisa. Alice is a different character with some traits in common with her, and that’s why I think it was right not to meet her ».

Alice’s dream was stability. The of her?
«The Oscar. It is a goal that I have given myself since I was a child because I think it is important to aim high to have a clear idea of what you want to achieve ».

Ever tried the thank you speech in front of the mirror?
“Not yet”.

Meanwhile, everyone is thrilled for a second season of Bang Bang Baby
“Usually, when it is suggested that a story will continue, there should be a sequel (laughsed) “.

Over the course of the series Alice has grown a lot: is that also true for her?
“Today I have the feeling that I am never old enough or mature enough. I am in such a hurry to grow up, but at the same time I think I should enjoy adolescence more. I should be more balanced ».

You are from 2004 and you have not lived them, but what do you think of the Eighties?
“I loved living them: being on set with the clothes and music of those years was really nice, not to mention all the things I learned in film and history. I think, however, that it is important to take the beauty of the time you live, without looking to the past and the future. Except it’s never easy ».
