Asus has introduced the PCE-AXE58BT low-profile expansion card equipped with a PCIe x1 interface. This card allows you to equip your desktop PC with support for Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) and Bluetooth 5.2 wireless interfaces.
The theoretical throughput of the adapter is 2402 Mbps in the 6 GHz (Wi-Fi 6E) and 5 GHz (Wi-Fi 6) and 574 Mbps in the 2.4 GHz (Wi-Fi 6) bands. Of course, previous versions of Wi-Fi are supported as well. Connecting to 802.11ac-compliant equipment can expect speeds of up to 1733 Mbps, and to 802.11n-compliant equipment up to 300 Mbps. The card supports the WPA3 security standard.
In addition to a PCIe slot, you will need a USB 2.0 port. A Bluetooth module is connected to it using the supplied cable. The kit also includes two antennas on a common pole. The support is equipped with a magnet that allows you to fix the antennas, for example, on a PC case.
The manufacturer did not announce the price and start date of sales.
