Foreigners who have violated the quarantine protocols in Bali are forced to do push-ups – thus local law enforcement officers want to accustom tourists to comply with “antiquated” measures. Writes about this ABC Australia.
It is reported that local authorities are registering a huge number of violations related to violation of quarantine measures on the island. At the same time, 80% of all fined are tourists.
According to the head of the Badung Regency’s Public Order Agency, the authorities decided not to fine for minor offenses, such as not wearing a mask or wearing it incorrectly.
Some, however, were fined for resisting police officers or simply not wanting to cooperate with them.
The fine for not wearing a mask in Bali is 100,000 rupees ($ 9).
