Manufacturer of mining equipment, Bitmain company, presented the latest Antminer S21 HYD model with a hashrate of 335 TH/s (terahashes per second) and an energy efficiency coefficient of 16 J/TH (joules per terahash) at The World Digital Mining Summit 2023 in Hong Kong, reports RBC Crypto.
This is currently the most powerful Bitcoin mining machine – the previous record for hashrate belonged to the WhatsMiner M53S++ device from MicroBT, introduced in May of this year. Its power is 320 TH/s (terahashes per second), and its efficiency is 22 J/TH.
Together with Antminer S21 HYD, the Antminer S21 model was presented. It has a hashrate of 200 TH/s and an energy efficiency ratio of 17.5 J/TH.
You can order new models now. Bitmain will begin shipping in 2024.
It also became known that Bitmain will deliver mining company Core Scientific, which is undergoing bankruptcy proceedings, received 27 thousand Antminer S19J XP devices (with a capacity of 151 TH/s) in exchange for $23.1 million and another $53.9 million in the form of Core Scientific shares. The price of the shares, according to the miner, will be determined by the bankruptcy court in the fourth quarter of this year.
