British Army cyber attack – Twitter and YouTube accounts hacked

THE army her Britain announced that it was cyberattacked by a group of hackers, who breached accounts on Twitter and YouTube.

According to Reuters, the army’s Twitter account (@BritishArmy) has retweeted a series of posts related to digital intellectual property certificates (NFTs). On YouTube, the account was renamed “Ark Invest” and featured several videos about cryptocurrencies.

“We are aware of the hacking of the military’s Twitter and YouTube accounts and an investigation is underway” into the matter, an army spokesman said.

The British Army has 362,000 followers on Twitter while its YouTube channel has 177,000 subscribers.

Ark Invest is the name of an international global investment company.
