Businessman found dead in home in upscale neighborhood of SP

Businessman Carlos Alberto Felice, 77, was found dead on Tuesday night (16) in his home located in the Jardim Europa neighborhood, west of São Paulo, an upscale area of ​​the city.

According to the Civil Police, Carlos’ body was found by the victim’s nephew in the garage of the residence and was covered by a rug. The elderly man, who was tied at the feet and hands with an electric cold, showed signs of violence in the head region.

The businessman’s nephew told the police that he arrived at his uncle’s house around 8:15 pm yesterday and looked for him, as Carlos did not answer, he decided to call the military police.

Furthermore, according to the information, the victim’s nephew mentioned that a friend of the elderly man told his mother, Carlos’ sister, that his uncle had not gone to church last week and added that when he tried to speak to him on the phone, he did not get a response.

Felice’s nephew told the police that when he was at his uncle’s house yesterday, an unidentified man approached him and said he was a friend of the elderly man. The unknown man said that the victim had sold the house and that he had R$3.5 million inside the residence. The information about the possible sale of the house was confirmed to the police by Carlos’ lawyer, identified as Dr. José.

The elderly man, who had been a widower for three years, had no children and lived alone, was in debt, according to police. Carlos Felice also owned a vehicle that, according to authorities, was not in the garage of the residence. A street security guard told police that the businessman left with the car on Thursday (11) and returned home without it.

The case was registered as homicide at the 14th DP (Pinheiros), and forwarded to the Homicide Division of the Homicide and Personal Protection Department, where it is being investigated.
