CNN Brasil announced the hiring of agronomist Marcos Jank and economist Adriano Pires to compose the broadcaster’s team of analysts starting this month.
Jank, professor and senior researcher in global agribusiness at Insper, will comment on the scenario and challenges facing agribusiness in Brazil and around the world. The specialist is also an adviser to Rumo Logística, Comerc Energia and the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), in Washington. He also lived in Asia, where he represented associations of agro-industrial exporters and supported BRF’s expansion in the region.
In the area of energy and mining, Adriano Pires, economist and founding partner of the Brazilian Infrastructure Center (CBIE), puts the oil, gas and biofuels market into perspective; the privatization agenda of Brazilian state-owned companies; pricing policy; the electricity sector, its current model, new solutions and innovation.
Pires has more than 30 years of experience in the sector, where he served as Superintendent of Import and Export of oil, and Superintendent of Supply at the ANP.
