The government of Colombia announced on Thursday 13/6 that the country will welcome and provide medical treatment to some of the thousands of children who have been injured in the war in the Gaza Strip between Israel and the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas. “We have made the decision to offer humanitarian support to children from Palestine, who will travel with their families to Colombia to receive medical treatment,” announced Undersecretary for Multilateral Affairs Elizabeth Taylor Jay after a meeting with President Gustavo Peter in Stockholm, where he is making an official visit.
