Digital influencer and TikTok star Cooper Noriega died this Thursday (9), aged 19. According to US website TMZ, police were alerted by a passerby, who found Noriega unconscious in a parking lot outside Los Angeles.
The help quickly arrived at the scene, but could not reverse the young man’s condition.
It was disclosed that he was not in a vehicle and that there were no signs of injuries on his body – so far, there are no suspects and the family is awaiting the result of the autopsy to understand the cause of death, according to the coroner’s office of the Los Angeles county.
A few hours earlier, Noriega had posted a video on TikTok — a platform where he had 1.77 million followers — in which he talked about the possibility of early death.
The influencer spoke on social media about his challenges in the fight against drug addiction, and had discussed mental health issues with followers, in opportunities where he said he was in search of improvement.
“I would like to use the influence I have gained to create a space based on raising awareness of mental health,” he said on social media.
