On August 10, 2024, an unknown Bitcoin hodler moved 25 BTC ($1.51 million) to a new address after ten years and six months of hibernation, according to Whale Alert.

Judging by on-chain datathe user purchased bitcoins on January 17, 2024, at a price of about $805. At that time, his portfolio was valued at $20,138.
Between 2020 and 2021, up to $0.32 worth of bitcoins were sent to his address. Notably, the fee for some transactions was $386.36 and $222.47.
The Whale Alert portal notes that the transfer took place on the evening of August 10, 2024. At that time, Bitcoin was trading near the $60,500 mark. If the hodler moved his assets for sale, then his profit was about $1.49 million.
Earlier, the owner of the first cryptocurrency moved 250 BTC after more than 11 years of hibernation. Also, two bitcoin whales woke up after about 12 years of hibernation. From the first address, 26 BTC were withdrawn, from the second – 37 BTC.
At the time of writing, Bitcoin is trading near $59,700.
