A protest took place on Saturday morning outside RIK due to the song “El Diablo” by Elena Tsagrinou that will represent Cyprus in this year’s competition Eurovision.
With banners reading “We love Christ”, “Repentance”, but also crosses, the protesters demanded the replacement of the song by another, while handing a resolution to the RIK news director, Panikos Hatzipanagis.
Strong police forces were at the scene early to prevent incidents. After the protest, the protesters left.
