Eurovision 2022: “Attacks by pro-Russian hackers prevented”

THE Italian police prevented cyber attacks pro-Russian groups hacker during the semifinals on May 10 and the final, yesterday, Saturday, of her song contest Eurovision in Turin, she said in a statement today.

The Italian police clarified that they prevented cyber attacks on network infrastructure by the hacker group “Killnet” and its subsidiary “Legion” during the voting procedures and the appearances of the contestants.

On May 11, “Killnet” claimed responsibility for an attack on the websites of several Italian institutions, including the Senate – the upper house of the Italian parliament – and the National Institutes of Health (ISS), the Italian news agency ANSA reported.

As reported by ΑΠΕ-ΜΠΕ, after Russian invasion of Ukraine As of Feb. 24, many Western governments have raised alarm levels in anticipation of possible cyber-attacks on information systems and infrastructure.
