The Ministry of Education (MEC) released this Tuesday afternoon (14) the result of the Student Financing Fund (Fies) for the first half of 2023. In total, 205,177 candidates signed up to compete for 67,301 places in private higher education institutions .
As of this Wednesday (15th), selected students must contact the Permanent Commission for Supervision and Follow-up at the educational institution to complete their application. The deadline is March 17th.
The classification is made in descending order, based on the scores of the National High School Exam (Enem) and the other rules of the selection process. Medicine, law, nursing, dentistry and psychology were the most popular courses.
Waiting list
Those who were not selected are now automatically included in the Fies waiting list to compete for vacancies that are not filled.
The candidate must pay attention to the calls, accessing the program’s registration system. The call for the waiting list will be made between March 21 and May 18.
What is Fies
The fund grants funding to students with gross per capita family income of up to three minimum wages so that they can study in private institutions.
The student must pay the installments after completing the course. Installments are calculated taking into account the income limit, without charging interest.
