My experience at Palace Hotel Merano it was a succession of positive sensations and emotions. Meanwhile, the destination, Merano, with the great added value of its microclimate, unique in any season, which embraces you gently. Then the arrival in that building that hosted me many years ago, as a young journalist, when it was the reign of the famous nutritionist Henri Chenot, the one who had predicted the rules of healthy living, the proponent of the detox method, as well as the precursor of the to the longevity that is talked about a lot now.
In what is the first Medical Spa in Italy the big plus is the Revital Method® with its personalized paths that are based on functional, allopathic and energetic medicine treatments for preventive purposes, integrated with the holistic principles of traditional Chinese medicine. A philosophy embraced by important international figures from the star system, politics and industry who come here periodically for a regenerating break. Today it is a 5-star hotel, renovated and modernized, with 99 rooms, including suites and junior suites.
When you cross the gate and enter the lush park, you lose the sense of time and space, and you let yourself be led by a staff who welcomes you with kindness and professionalism: they make you immediately feel at home, between memories of their master and the enthusiasm to continue and improve more and more. The same warmth is found in the medical center Revital, which is spread over 6 thousand square metres, and on the fifth floor of the hotel, where there are an analysis laboratory, scanner and check-up, areas for colon hydrotherapy, acupuncture, oxygen-ozone therapy, advanced beauty treatments – for example the MesoJet – and where there is an aesthetic doctor with his team. The center is supported by an exclusive medical team, which works synergistically with nutritionists, naturopaths, osteopaths and nurses, applying the integrated preventive method.

And then there is the spa, renovated in 2023 with 18 cabins for hydro-mud therapy (to try), 6 for hydro-jet, 19 for beauty treatments, relaxation and meditation area, as well as an indoor swimming pool, saunas, hammam, path Kneipp and a 31 meter outdoor swimming pool with hydromassage beds. Special mention for manual massages, in particular the one with the cupping technique capable of releasing energy blockages, acting on muscles and tendons, toning and regenerating them.

Finally, the restaurant. You don’t go hungry, as they used to say. You eat (very well), but as you should do in a detox regime. The dishes are tasty and refined. Nutrition is personalized and calibrated together with treatments. The nutritionists follow you both during the initial visit and during meals to advise you and educate you to experience each dish as a moment of healthy joy. Attention and personalization are the two great added values of the Palace Hotel: each guest is unique, with individual health and well-being objectives, and this is why a tailor-made approach is adopted, thanks to a one-to-one relationship. An approach that, in addition to ensuring optimal transformative results, makes you feel special, valued, listened to and deeply welcomed at every stage of the journey towards wellbeing. Personally I felt protected and encouraged to do good and love myself. To channel energy into the things that matter. Aware of having with me a treasure trove of experiences to put into practice at home, every day. Notwithstanding that I already really want to go back.
