Former participant of A Fazenda is arrested accused of beating his 5-year-old son

The Civil Police arrested José Lucas Dias Barreto, a former participant in the reality show A Fazenda and expelled for aggressive behavior, on Monday (23), after accusations of having beaten his 5-year-old son. The case occurred in the Nova Cidade neighborhood, in São Gonçalo, in the metropolitan region of Rio de Janeiro.

The arrest took place in the community of Rato Molhado, in Niterói, where agents of the 72nd DP served a temporary arrest warrant for the crime of torture.

According to the investigations, the child was admitted to an emergency room in São Gonçalo on the last 11th, presenting a fracture in the left arm and several marks on the body.

“The nursing team became suspicious when the father claimed that the boy had broken his arm during a ‘fighting game’. In addition, the victim had scars from possible burns caused by cigarettes on her leg and had an introspective behavior, as she did not answer the questions asked by the professionals,” said the police.

In testimony, the nurses stated that José, 34 years old, appeared to be upset and threatened the child saying “you will pay me” while making a sign with his hands, as if he was going to cut his throat. According to witness reports, the father still slapped the child’s head.

Police officers pointed out that the author has several criminal notes for bodily injury, illegal embarrassment and threat.

THE CNN tried to contact the aggressor’s advice, but did not get a response so far.
