HarmonyOS has become the fastest growing operating system in history. It is already installed on 157 million devices
HarmonyOS is the fastest growing operating system in history, confirmed after Yu Chengdong, CEO of Huawei’s Consumer Business Group, said the operating system was already installed on 150 million devices.
Later at the Huawei Developer Conference, Wang Chenglu, President of Huawei Consumer BG, clarified that HarmonyOS now has 157 million devices. In addition, he claims that the number of third-party devices powered by OpenHarmony now reaches 60 million. Wang Chenglu predicts that Harmony’s third-party equipment will reach 100 million by the end of this year. Huawei is confident that by the end of this, the operating system will be installed on 300 million devices.
Although HarmonyOS 2.0 is not yet available to users around the world, it has been able to become the fastest growing OS thanks to China alone. There are speculations that global users will receive HarmonyOS 2 at the end of the year, but these are only speculations.
In addition, HarmonyOS has attracted 5.1 million developers from over 170 countries and regions, and users have downloaded 332.2 billion applications since the beginning of this year. The Harmony ecosystem already has over 4,000 smart green products and 1,800 environmental partners.
The company also announced a preliminary version of the HarmonyOS 3.0 operating system for developers and a completely new programming language.
