Hong Kong: “Sleeping Bus Tour” helps the sleepless to take a nap on a five-hour journey

You are tired, but you can not sleep. The stress of work keeps you overwhelmed at night and consequently awake, with the result that the next day you crawl to your place of work and sleep on the way to and from your professional employment on public transport. If you belong to the above category, then this is the perfect trip for you. As long as you are a resident of it Hong Kong.

The five-hour route of 76 kilometers (47 miles) with a regular double-decker bus around its territory Hong Kong is intended to attract people who, unlike the insomnia they experience at home, fall asleep easily on long walks. The tour by bus has no specific destination, the idea is just for its passengers to fall asleep. The organizers of this special trip were inspired by the tendency of tired passenger-workers to sleep on public transport.

“While we were brainstorming new tours, I saw a social media post from my friend who said he was stressed from work, he could not sleep at night,” he said. Kenneth Kong, director of marketing and business development of the travel company ulu travel and organizer of bus tours and continued:

“But when the same man was traveling by bus, he could sleep well and comfortably. “His post inspired us to create this tour that allows passengers to just sleep on the bus.”

Tickets cost from $ 13 to $ 51 per person, depending on whether passengers choose seats on the upper or lower deck of the double-decker bus. The organizers offer a bag for the passengers, which includes an eye mask and earmuffs for better sleep.

The first “Sleeping Bus Tour” made its maiden voyage last Saturday and was sold out. Some passengers came, even prepared for their trip, bringing their own blankets and changing their shoes into slippers, while others brought travel pillows.
