“House of the Dragon” will have seasons 3 and 4, says George RR Martin

The series “House of the Dragon”, a spin-off of Game of Thrones, will have a second season released next year, but the creation of the third and fourth are also already underway, said the author of the saga, George RR Martin.

He said he spent two days discussing the third and fourth seasons with series director Ryan Condal and the writing team. The information has not been confirmed by HBO Max.

The statement was given in an interview with “Variety” magazine and published this Wednesday (6).

Regarding the episodes he watched from the second season, Martin classified them as “very dark”. “They can make you cry. Powerful, emotional, moving.”

The Spin-off takes place 20 years before the events of “Game of Thrones” and focuses on the Targaryens.
