Hundreds of people had to be evacuated from their homes, as well as the operation of a power plant, in southwestern Germany, after floods caused by torrential rains, announced overnight Friday into Saturday, the authorities and German media. The water level is rising particularly fast in the region of Saarland, on the border with France and the French administrative region of Moselle, which is also affected by flooding after heavy rains.
