Samsung’s division of ISOCELL image sensors has officially announced on Twitter that a new sensor will be announced this week.
The manufacturer declares that it is “ISOCELL for everyone”. This indicates that the image sensor is for mid-range smartphones. Some sources believe that this is a 50-megapixel sensor, which will replace the 48-megapixel image sensor with 0.8 micron pixels.
The company’s top sensors are the 108-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL HM3 and the 50-megapixel ISOCELL GN2.
The presentation of the novelty will take place on June 10.
