Israelis shot and killed a Palestinian who drove a car at soldiers in the occupied West Bank, the army said.
The attacker “attacked with his vehicle soldiers who were at a bus stop at the Nabi Musa intersection and then continued on his way and drove other soldiers away at the Almog intersection,” according to the statement.
“The soldiers shot the assailant who tried to escape. A police officer and a civilian present at the scene fired with live bullets and neutralized him,” this statement added.
Five Israelis were wounded in the attack in the Jericho area, the Magen David Adom agency, Israel’s equivalent of the Red Cross, said. All of them were taken to hospitals in Jerusalem.
