Kate, in red for her first Christmas concert

Kate’s style to the nth degree, but painted in scarlet red. It’s a coat dress signed Catherine Walker the one the Duchess of Cambridge wore for her first Christmas concert at Westminster Abbey. Royal Carols: Together At Christmas is an event promoted by Royal Foundation, the charity created by Kate and William to carry out solidarity initiatives in areas dear to the two royals. This particular event was designed to pay homage to the work of all those who have been involved in various capacities during the health emergency.

An important debut for those who already move with the confidence of a queen. The occasion therefore required a measured elegance, also in keeping with the place and the situation, where the only excess had to be constituted by the festive color par excellence of which both the shoes of Gianvito Rossi is there clutch from Miu Miu. Kate wore one of those coats that look like dresses, which have now become her hallmark. The line of the wool overcoat, tight at the waist and long well beyond the knee, is simple and clean. If that showy bow that ties on the neckline knows you have already seen it, it is because we are dealing with a Christmas version of a coat dress that the Duchess has already worn but in circumstances of a completely different nature: it is the model Beau Tie chosen for Prince Philip’s funeral which took place on April 17 in Windsor.

That time from the queen’s jewelry box she had selected the four-strand Japanese pearl choker with the diamond clasp, this time she preferred the Art Deco style sapphire and diamond fringes earrings that belonged to the Queen Mother that matched well with Diana’s legendary engagement ring, now on Kate’s ring finger. These precious family heirlooms, inherited from Elisabetta, have never been spotted on the lobes of the sovereign but to those of her nephew’s wife, yes, already starting from 2015. We are not sure but we could say that the earrings have already passed into the casket of the Duchess.

They attended the event i Middleton al completo while the Windsor family was represented, as well as obviously by the principe William, gives Sophie di Wessex, gives Beatrice di York and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, from the princess Eugenia and yes Mike e Zara Tindall. A nice family celebration that kicks off the holidays with Kate as hostess on the first Christmas without Philip. That bow then perhaps becomes the way to remember it with grace and discretion.
