LATAM Solidarity Plane transported more than 270 million Covid-19 vaccines

The expressive numbers reflect the great purpose of the Solidarity Plane, which is the main social program in Brazil and South America within the Sustainability strategy of the LATAM Group .

On the air for 11 years, shortening distances and connecting those who can offer help to those who need it most, the LATAM Solidarity Plane is essential for holding social events throughout the country, which without it would not have happened, meeting the most diverse emergencies, not only in the area of ​​Health, but also in the Environment and Natural Disasters.

By using all the expertise in logistics and air network to offer free connectivity, capacity and speed in the transport of people and cargo, it has consolidated itself as one of the most important agents of social transformation in our country.

Committed to generating value for society through its operations, LATAM chose to be part of the solution. All the dedication to the front of health, especially in the last two years, made the LATAM Solidarity Plane act promptly in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic and mitigate the impacts caused by this virus.

There were 270 million vaccines transported free of charge throughout Brazil, in more than 3 thousand flights made available to the population. The equivalent of 65% of all immunizing agents transported by air in the national territory.

These numbers show the real impact that the Solidarity Plane generates, as 130 million people were directly benefited throughout the program, which still in 2022, remains attentive and continues to transport this important input to contribute to the health needs that Brazil faces. .

This action reinforces LATAM’s commitment to people, mainly in providing quick solutions that improve their lives. To this end, a great effort was made through the mobilization of several areas and of the entire logistics infrastructure, associated with the reinforcement of the operational teams and the large-scale application of all this air mobility.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the LATAM Solidarity Plane has also transported health professionals, rapid tests, medicines, masks, respirators, oxygen cylinders, among other items, benefiting several locations in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Argentina.
