League of Legends authors have announced a music runner: it will be released on PC and Netflix

Riot Forge, the publishing arm of Riot Games, has officially unveiled a brand new game in the League of Legends universe. The project received the long name Hextech Mayhem: A League of Legends Story – this is a rather vivid two-dimensional rhythm runner, in the gameplay of which the musical component plays an important role. Indeed, in addition to destroying opponents, constantly running forward (on the screen – to the right), jumping, exploding, overcoming obstacles and other interesting activities, the gamer also needs to be in time with the music.

Accordingly, if you do everything to the music, without getting out of the general beat, the player will receive additional bonus points – this is how the developers motivate potential gamers not just to run around the map to the music. Moreover, the authors from Riot Games decided, even for such a seemingly simple game, to write a good storyline and fit the release into the general outline of the League of Legends universe. Fans of the subgenre will need to play as a certain Ziggs, who wants to create the world’s largest bomb (judging by the video, he loves explosives very much). But he has a competitor who needs to be prevented – this is what the player will do.

In addition, the publisher did quite interesting with the choice of platforms for the release – now Hextech Mayhem: A League of Legends Story can be pre-ordered, having received an additional image of “Fallen Ziggs” as a gift, but for some reason they decided to abandon the consoles. The game will only be released on PC (immediately on Steam, Epic Games Store and even GOG), Nintendo Switch and, most surprisingly, on the Netflix Gaming service. True, if the release on the desktop platform and the portable console will take place on November 16 of this year, then fans of the streaming service will have to wait.
