“All reggaeton and Latin songs that put me in charge and make me start the day with a different turn: I certainly could not go down in mood compared to what we were experiencing”.
Where did your love for music come from?
«As a child, with classical music: first with dance and then in the children’s choir of the Teatro Regio in Turin. At a certain point, however, my voice changed and I gave up the activities, even if the passion for singing has always carried on. Singing has always been part of me and of my videos, I have always been supported by those who follow me to believe in my musical dream ».
What dreams did you have as a child?
«I wanted to be a singer and, at a certain point, also a nun since, in addition to going to school with them, I also associated them with music and singing. But then it passed me by and I wanted to become a rock star, from one extreme to the other as usual ».
On the other hand, did you already have a comic streak then?
“At school my classmates asked me to do the imitations of the nuns and I immediately started with the theater.”
His career as an influencer starts, after all, with imitations.
“For many years I tried talent auditions without ever making it to the program. I was taken badly, I told myself that maybe the music was not mine, but then friends, who have always seen me play the fool, advised me to start making comic videos in order to create an audience that could also appreciate the other things I did, and I trusted. In the beginning the Web was an unknown world, I didn’t even know how to upload a video. I started with the imitations of the singers and, after having obtained a boom in views, I decided to continue ».
Do you believe in destiny?
“A lot, especially after taking so many doors in the face. Even when you think you have lost hope, you have to pull out a bit of bullshit because you always have to fight ».
Was there a moment when she realized that life was changing?
“I’ve always flown low. I don’t like thinking about what’s to come, but trying to enjoy the moment: if people recognize me and ask me for my photo on the street, I’m happy, but I certainly don’t get mad about it. I’m not famous, I’m a normal girl who is trying to make her dreams come true. I do not have the stardom that other colleagues have who, since they have numbers, believe they are goddesses who came down to earth ».
Stardom is very dangerous, in fact.
«When you think you have arrived, you collapse: you must never think that you have made it because it is a mechanism that destroys you. It is useless to think about who you are and who you can become, fame comes when you least expect it. The numbers on social media could disappear from one day to the next, and that is why it is essential to cultivate your talent so, if everything ends, you can continue doing what you like “.
Can you ever disconnect from your phone and social media?
“When people live your daily life and expect your good morning, it’s hard to disconnect. I feel, somehow, I want to always be there because I know they like it. Maybe I could try to do some social detox, but the truth is that I’m glad they are worried about me: we are like a big extended family ».
Any kind of pressure to always be there?
“It’s something I like to do, I’m very lucky because I make money doing what I like.”
What makes her laugh?
«Everything that is spontaneous and not obvious, intelligent comedy, things done with fun. Every day I open YouTube and see people copying my videos from 4 years ago, but one thing is to copy and another is to be inspired to do something of your own, to give a personal touch different from the others. This is what I’d like to see. ‘
