Millions of people attended the funeral procession of President Ebrahim Raisi, who died in a helicopter crash in Tehran today, as shown in images broadcast by Iran's state television. Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is seen in television footage leading prayers in front of the coffins of the crash victims. The procession then proceeded from Tehran University to Freedom Square along streets lined with mourners. Ebrahim Raishi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian and seven other people were killed when their helicopter crashed on Sunday in a mountainous region of northwestern Iran. After the crash, Khamenei declared five days of national mourning that ends Friday.
