A mother from New York rescued her five-year-old son at the last minute when an unknown man tried to kidnap him in the middle of the street.
The incident happened in Queens, New York and as seen in a video from a security camera, a burgundy car. he stops abruptly at the side of the road with his driver getting out of it and grabbing the toddler from his mother’s arms.
Then she and other passers-by try to distract the child from the candidate abductor, with the mother managing to pull it out of the passenger window. Immediately after, the perpetrator pushes forward and escapes, despite the efforts of passers-by to stop him.
The New York Police Department released the faces of the perpetrators, a 24-year-old man, as it turned out, in a white T-shirt and shorts. Authorities said on Friday they had arrested a man accused of attempted kidnapping, an act that puts someone at risk and is harmful to a child under the age of 17.
“I said, ‘My God, my children, my God, my boy,'” Diaz Lopez told local television, explaining that motherhood instinct is what armed her to react differently.
“You have to do what is necessary, at all costs. The car was just parked there. I did not imagine that this man would get out of the car and grab my son. “One must always be vigilant and not talk on one’s phone,” the mother added.
