Twenty-nine years later, the Sanderson sisters are back. THE Disney+ has just released the new teaser for “Abracadabra 2”, a continuation of the 1993 hit film, which features the actresses Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy as the trio of witches that terrorize the small town of Salem.
This time, they are summoned back from the beyond by a group of teenagers who perform a ritual on the eve of Halloween. Whitney Peak of “Gossip Girl”, Belissa Escobedo of “American Horror Stories” and Lilia Buckingham of “Crown Lake” play the friends who light the candle of the black flame.
According to the film’s synopsis, “It’s been 29 years since someone lit the Black Flame candle and resurrected the 17th century sisters, and they’re out for revenge. Now it’s up to three high school students to stop the ravenous witches from wreaking a new kind of havoc on Salem before dawn on Halloween.”
The film is directed by Anne Fletcher and premieres on Disney+ on September 30.
