“The commitment of large companies is fundamental for a more equitable and pink future, where gender equality is fundamental” this is the declaration of Simona Liguoro, HR director of Nespresso. “We need to focus on these values to give hope of fairness and equality to the new generations, starting right from within companies, to make a real difference. We do it starting from the crops, with particular attention to women and al support to the community of growers and cultivators. We try to bring quality, even in the management of choices that veer towards fairness and inclusiveness, both in the daily life of those who choose us, because they continue to choose us, and in that of those who work with us. We make it our flag, but we actively work on the smallest details for this flag to be a tangible reality»Concludes Liguoro.
The cornerstones of the Nespresso Manifesto
The text of the manifesto leaves behind any possible ambiguity and brings clarity to a world full of uncertainty and instability. The goal is in fact to raise women to managerial roles like male colleagues, eliminate any wage difference between genders, pay attention to favoring suppliers who think the same way, leaving room for freedom to be of each individual: for Nespresso, in fact, diversity must be considered as “an opportunity to be unique”.
Inclusiveness over a cup of coffee
According to Nespresso, the concept of inclusiveness must pervade every area of corporate life, including the communication. Gone are the times when you took part in the so-called but inthe round tables in which to discuss about an issue were only and exclusively men. “We would like to be present in people’s everyday life, we are part of their sociality, – adds Simona Liguoro – our aim is to create value in each link of the chainso that the consumption of coffee becomes the sublimation of a credible and true company philosophy“.
Commitment beyond its borders
Nespresso is ready to look beyond its territory and its reality: the aim is in fact to involve and sensitize as many companies as possiblecreating a awareness network. «It is not enough to talk about the way in which the world changes, – concludes Simona Liguoro – you have to be active part of the change. Exactly as for sustainability, on which we have been working for years by investing in collection and on disposal of used capsules and building a future in which everyone, starting with us, feels not only an obligation, but also a pleasant challenge the need to respect the planet and who lives there “.
