Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with rescued hostages and their families at Sheba Hospital in Ramat Gan, a city near Tel Aviv, on Saturday (8).
The prime minister told a press conference that he celebrated with Noa Argamani and her family, including her father Yaakov, who is also celebrating his birthday today.
“And he said, ‘I received the best gift I could hope for,’” Netanyahu said of Yaakov.
The prime minister said he also met with another rescued prisoner, Andrey Kozlov.
“Andrey told me that he had a notebook during his captivity and that every day he wrote a line. Every day is a gift,” said Netanyahu.
Netanyahu promised that Israel is committed to bringing back the remaining hostages in Gaza.
He also said the Israeli government expects Hamas to release them all, but if it doesn’t, Israel will do “whatever it takes to bring everyone back home.”
