Nicholas Cage’s reaction to ex-wife Lisa Marie Presley’s death

“It is devastating news. Lisa had the biggest laugh of anyone she has ever met. She lit up every room and it broke my heart » she wrote Nicolas Cage to The Hollywood Reporter commenting the news of the death of his ex-wife Lisa Marie Presley with whom he was married from 2002 to 2004. “I am consoled by the fact that she is reunited with her son Benjamin,” added the actor speaking of the beloved son that Lisa Maria had from her husband, the musician Danny Keough before their divorce in 1994, who committed suicide in 27 year in July 2020.

Presley died Thursday at West Hills Hospital and Medical Center after suffering cardiac arrest at her home in Calabasas, two days after attending the Golden Globes. She was 54 years old. Mother Priscilla announced the news in a statement earlier today, writing: “It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has passed away. She was the most passionate, strong and loving woman I have ever known. We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss. Thanks for the love and prayers. There will be no further comments at this time.”

Presley is survived by her 33-year-old daughter Riley Keough and the 14-year-old twins Harper And Finley.

The ex husband Michael Lockwoodto whom she was married from 2006 to 2021, released a statement to the New York Post through his lawyer who declared that the musician’s world “has been turned upside down”. Presley has been married twice more, to Danny Keough from 1988 to 1994 and with Michael Jackson from 1994 to 1996. The Jackson estate also released a tribute to the late songwriter, sharing on Instagram: We are saddened by the sudden and tragic loss of Michael’s ex-wife, Lisa Marie Presley. Michael cherished their special bond and was comforted by Lisa Marie’s generous love, concern and care during their time together.”

Following the news, numerous stars publicly mourned Presley’s passing, including John Travolta which he wrote about Instagram: «Lisa, baby girl, I’m so sorry. I will miss you but I know I will see you again. My love and heart go out to Riley, Priscilla, Harper and Finley.” Leah Remini tweeted a similar and emotion, writing: «I am heartbroken by the passing of Lisa Marie Presley. Lisa hasn’t had an easy life, as some might think. May she rest in peace with her son and her father. Her mother Priscilla and her three daughters, Riley, Finley and Harper, are in my prayers.” Octavia Spencer has added: «It’s so sad that we have lost another bright star in Lisa Marie Presley. My condolences from her to her loved ones and to her multitude of fans.” And Tom Hanksone of the stars of the new biography of Elviswrote on Instagram: «We are heartbroken at the loss of Lisa Marie Presley. Absolutely destroyed…”
